Metal Nest

“This body of work is my endeavor to create an original collection that reveals my drive to share inspiration. By viewing these pieces, perhaps I can “tell” you something about myself. The series is my attempt to reflect a spiritual connection with creation. The idea for these pieces sparked after a visit with my parents. My mother held out two nests made entirely from horse hair. The reaction was one of awe. These traveled with me several years before I knew how I would share them. To me, they are perfect examples of how nature creates the most admired pieces of art. The images shown reflect light back to the observer. In the execution of each work, the challenge is for me to find an original approach using unconventional methods and materials. Ever mindful of balance and rhythm, this series reveals my idea of trusting the creative process”.
